Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai was established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The university is recognised by UGC and is considered a deemed-to-be university. The university is approved by AICTE, accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade and has been ranked 51st in the NIRF university ranking in the year 2023. College Infrastructure
The college infrastructure is not that appreciated . The wifi is only available in the library only . The food quality is also not that bad . The maintained of the classrooms and campus is also good .

According to the official admission policy of Sathyabama university, lateral entries can be admitted during the second year B.Tech program of the seats were partially filled during its first year i.e, In case of seat availability, then the college claims to admit diploma students in the second year in the name of lateral entry.
Inorder to know the seat availability of a particular branch in B.Tech, it's better to visit the campus.
