VIT Pune Course Admission 2024 - Fees, Date, Cutoff & Eligibility

VIT Pune admissions are offered to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral-level courses. Vishwakarma Institute of Technology admission to undergraduate courses is based on the marks obtained by candidates in the MHT-CET/JEE Main. For VIT Pune M.Tech and M.C.A admissions, candidates' score in GATE and MAH MCA CET is taken into consideration, respectively.

For Ph.D course candidates need to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune, which is followed by a round of interviews. The first round of selection of VIT Pune admissions at UG and PG levels is followed by a round of state-level counselling as well.

• Candidates must visit the official website of VIT Pune.

• Candidates have to register themselves on the official admissions portal.

• Candidates will use their registered ID and password to login into their portal.

• After logging in, they will have to fill out the online application form by filling in all the correct details.

• Candidates will have to upload the scanned copies of all the required documents.

• Before submitting, candidates pay the VIT Pune application fees.

VIT Pune UG Admission 2024

Only one UG course is offered at the institute i.e. B.Tech, and it is offered across a total of nine specialisations. The duration of all the undergraduate programmes is four years.

VIT Pune B.Tech Admissions

• Candidates seeking admission must first meet the eligibility criteria.

• Eligible candidates must apply for admission by filling the online application form.

• Applicants need to appear for the MHT-CET/JEE Main.

• Maharashtra candidates need to appear for MHT-CET and all India candidates are required to sit for the JEE Main.

• Next Merit list for JEE Main and MHT CET is released. 

• Candidates then need to register and participate in CAP conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.

• Next, candidates are required to fill the college and course choice in order of their preference.  

• Seats are allotted to candidates based on their entrance exam scores and choices filled by them. 

• Next, they need to visit the institute and complete the VIT Pune admission process by submitting the documents and paying the course fee. 

VIT Pune PG Admission 2024

At the PG level, the institute offers M.Tech and MCA courses. VIT Pune M.Tech course is offered across five specialisations. The courses are offered for two years.

VIT Pune M.Tech Admission Process

• Candidates seeking admission must meet the VIT Pune eligibility criteria and apply for admission by filling the online application form.

• The eligible candidates need to appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) entrance exam.

• Next, the GATE cutoff is released.

• Candidates who clear the cut-off need to register for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra.

• Candidates need to fill the college and course of their choice in preference order.

• Based on choice filled and the marks of students in GATE exam, merit list is released. 

• The merit list contains students' scores, courses and college allotted to them.

• Candidates who are allotted VIT Pune need to visit the campus.

• The last step in the VIT Pune admission process is submission of documents and payment of course fee. 

VIT Pune MCA Admission Process

• Candidates seeking admission must meet the eligibility criteria.

• Eligible candidates must appear for MAH MCA CET.

• A cut-off list is released by the college.

• After that, the selected candidates must register themselves and appear for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted by State CET Cell.

• Admissions will be offered to candidates through the Centralised Admission Process based on rank obtained in MAH MCA CET.

• After the final selection, candidates must visit the college for verification of documents and payment of VIT Pune fees.

Doctoral courses at VIT Pune are offered across six specialisations. These courses are offered for a duration of six years.

VIT Pune Ph.D Admission Process

• First candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria for VIT Pune Ph.D admissions.

• Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria need to sit for the Ph.D entrance test (PET) conducted by the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune.

• Based on the entrance exam score, aspirants are shortlisted for a personal interview. 

• Then the final list is prepared of the selected students based on performance in the entrance test and interview,
