SDM College of Engineering and Technology offers a total of 18 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels such as B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D. SDMCET admissions is based on the scores obtained by candidates in any state-level or national-level entrance examinations. SDMCET B.Tech admissions are done on the basis of marks scored in KCET or management quota entrance test or COMEDK UGET. Candidates have to appear for the Karnataka PGCET entrance examination to secure SDMCET M.Tech/MBA  admissions. However, candidates can take admissions in SDMCET Ph.D courses based on the scores obtained in University Level Research Aptitude Test (ULRAT) conducted by Visvesvaraya Technological University followed by an interview.

SDMCET Dharwad Application Process

• Candidates have to collect the SDMCET application form from the college counter.

• Fill out the application form in block letters only. 

• Prescribed application fees of Rs. 450 are to be dispatched to the bank through challans or online.

• Candidates have to submit the application form along with the academic documents and bank receipt. 3 sets of copies of all documents must be submitted to the admissions office.

• Candidates who need hostel accommodation need to purchase the hostel admission form for Rs. 25.

SDMCET Dharwad B.Tech Admissions 2023

The college offers admission to 8 full-time B.Tech courses at the UG level. SDMCET B.Tech Courses include Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Information Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering. SDMCET Dharwad B.Tech Admission Process

• Candidates have to meet the SDMCET B.Tech eligibility criteria. 

• Eligible candidates have to appear for the COMEDK UGET or KCET entrance examinations.

• The cutoff will be released by the college. 

• Candidates who meet the SDMCET Cutoff have to participate in the offline counselling session.

• Candidates have to report to the counselling centres to fill in the preferred choices of courses and institutes during the counselling.

• Finally, candidates have to report to SDMCET Dharwad for submitting the documents for verification and make the payment of the fee to confirm the seat.

The college offers admission to SDMCET M.Tech and MBA courses at the PG level. M.Tech courses include M.Tech Engineering Analysis and Design, M.Tech Digital Electronics, M.Tech Power Systems Engineering, M.Tech Computer-Aided Design Structures, M.Tech Information Technology, and M.Tech Computer Science and Engineering.

• Eligible candidates have to appear for the Karnataka PGCET entrance examination.

• The Karnataka PGCET merit list and rank list will also be released by the conducting body.

• Karnataka PGCET counselling is conducted online. Candidates have to register online.

• Verification of documents is done at the help centres.

• A verification slip and secret key are provided after document verification.

• Seats will be allotted based on candidate rank and preferences.

SDMCET Dharwad Ph.D Admissions Process

• Candidates have to fulfil the SDMCET Ph.D eligibility criteria. 

• Candidates have to apply for admission to SDM College of Engineering and Technology Dharwad.

• Eligible candidates have to appear for the ULRAT entrance examination conducted by the university followed by a personal interview. 

• Candidates are shortlisted and those fulfilling all the admission criteria are offered admission. 

• Verification of original documents is also carried out during the interview.

• The selected candidates identify the research centre and take the admission for Ph. D. programme.
